A Great Drive - entry for Michelin Pilot Experience by Neha

It is my wedding day and I am waiting for the driver to pick me up from the beauty parlor at Juhu. Waiting anxiously to kick start a new life and suddenly the phone rings- driver calling, car has broke down and he can’t come. What..really?! Well, I am almost in tears but trying to hold them back because moist eyes will spoil my big day and make-up. There I see my college professor passing by and he spots me as standing at the main street- he waves and gave a thumbs up. But, I don’t react. He gets off his car and comes towards me- I don’t know how to react whether to be happy or sad.  I tell him what has happened and then he takes me in his car to drop me at the wedding venue.  Almost halfway, my phone rings again this time it’s my fiancĂ©e telling me to rush soon as we might miss the auspicious timing.  As we try to make it as fast as we possibly can- I get another call they can’t wait anymore ..I’ve missed the bus. I am almost in tears- seeing me sobbing, my professor walks with me at the venue holding my hand and talks to my parents. We see my fiancee and his family leaving. My professor gently asked me- do you love this boy? I quickly said “no”. He further asked me- so, who do you love? I point out towards my crush, my love and the guy who I deeply love. He talks to our parents and they give their permission.

The car ride with my professor where we meet each other after 11 years was nice and weird at the same time. And yet again after a decade he changes my life to so much better.
