Paradise of the Orient

Ahh the thought of being with my best buddy in the Paradise of the Orient, MACAU..Perfect … just perfect!! It fascinates us as a place having the unusual mix of Chinese and Portuguese cultures, adding to the fact that it is small and yet it has everything, not least the juxtaposition of the old and new, not to forget the climate and picturesque surroundings.
My buddy and I just spent the last few hours dreaming of the best five things we would want to do, given a chance to fly to Macau…here goes it…
1. A morning walk up and down Guia Hill – where the Guia lighthouse stands followed by a tour of the beautiful city of Macau, tasting the mouth watering dishes such as the infamous Portugese egg tarts, chourico (sausages) and getting to try the various cuisines..oh boyy yummm.. and to chill by the Sai Van Lake by night.
2. We definitely want to visit the islands of Taipa and Coloane, plus the Ruins of St Paul’s, St Joseph’s
Seminary and Church, the Mazu Temple and of course go museum hopping.
3. Being the party animals that we are, checking out the dazzling nightlife, not to forget visiting the very many casinos like the Venetian Macau, perhaps the biggest hotel in the world. Attend The Dragon’s Treasure’ show at The Bubble, inside the City of Dreams casino. Play our luck on the slot machines to earn a couple of millions J is top on the list. Macau is the closest that we can get to Las Vegas.
4. Guess no travelling is complete with its fair share of SHO
PPING… flea market near the ruins of St. Paul’s, Senado Square with its wavy-patterned tiles, here we come …!!!
5. Get an Adrenaline rush trying the Xtreme sports at the Macau tower.
